Belle Amour – Logo Branding

Hair stylist duo, Belle Amour, asked us to create a logo and to develop a visual identity for their new salon. Recommended to us by Jewel Windows, who we work closely with, we presented a variety of ideas and this design stood out. After some tweaks we’re pleased with the result.

Just wanted to say thank you so much, the logo looks awesome! I love the colours and I’m buzzing.

Magazine Design

In recent years we’ve worked with US based publishers in the conception and ongoing production of three magazine titles. Campus Talk is a free lifestyle magazine aimed at the student market. Flourish is a free lifestyle magazine aimed at men and women. The title was split 50/50 with a female cover and articles on one side, the whole magazine then flipped to reveal the men’s section. Gator Country, a college sports title based in Florida. The magazine featured a monthly run down of sporting events and achievements from across Florida’s major universities.

Sarah takes great care in her work often working with vulnerable people. We’ve created a clean logo design in colours that evoke specific ideas. Seven years of magazine design

Between 2011 and 2018 we published Mayhem! Magazine ( a free culture and lifestyle magazine. We reached issue 50 in August 2018, with over 500,000 individual printed copies circulating, and realised that all good things must come to an end, so what better time to call it ‘a day’. It has been a fantastic run and we’ve had great fun, met loads of people and interviewed some inspiring people. You can still enjoy every single issue available on the above link. To all those involved we THANK YOU.

Lake District Foundation – Brochure Design

When the Lake District Foundation, a charitable trust based in the Lake District, came to Tidbury Media looking for a brand new brochure design to celebrate their first year, we jumped at the chance. Working from our base in Portsmouth, the brochure design includes a few statistic and introduces the trust and their work. Naturally, the brochure design features some really nice photography and it would have been a shame not to make full use of that, so we adopted a detail from their logo design as a device for holding the photography throughout.

“Tidbury Media are really easy to work with, and our final report looks great! We will definitely use Tidbury Media again.”

Digital Illustration in Portsmouth

It’s not everyday we’re asked to create bespoke illustration, but when Bombay Sapphire asked us create an original digital illustration of their latest Gin bottle, we jumped at the chance. This is completely hand-drawn and digitally painted using the latest iPad software and took around 14 hours to complete. Every detail is hand drawn including the typography and Queen Victoria portrait.

“These look great!”

Lobster for Lunch

Commissioned to shoot some PR shots for The Market Place on behalf of Billy’s On The Beach in Bracklesham Bay in West Sussex; the weather held out and I managed to ‘snap’ some shots before the ice creams melted completely.

Seen the photos…they’re amazing! Thank you so much. We would love to work with you again.

High Flying Food!

Tidbury Food Photography2

The exclusive Aviator Hotel on the edge of Farnborough International Airport kept me busy in the kitchen capturing a culinary master at work. I was privileged to be invited to photograph two of the latest creations by Head Chef Mateusz Maksymilian Mitka. We cleared an area in the hotel brasserie and set up shop. After whizzing around the kitchen for a few moments to grab some action shots of a man in his element, we settled into photographing the food itself. Well, it’s only courtesy to taste the goods!

Campaign Photography

‘Chevening’, based in London, is the UK Government’s Global Awards Scholarship Programme for international students. To promote the programme for 2018/19 we teamed up to develop a fun idea to highlight the benefits of studying in the UK and to highlight that ‘learning’ is in everyday life, not just the classroom. To illustrate this the idea was to transform iconic UK landmarks into study or discussion scenes; be it a desk, a debating circle or a high table. We were commissioned to research and develop a series of eight UK landmarks (representing all regions of the UK) and to photograph Chevening’s actual scholars in the studio, to be placed into the landscapes. The final images feature within the marketing campaign available to Chevening outposts world-wide.

We came with a strong idea, and Tidbury Media helped develop our creative brief into something even better. Very flexible, responsive, and enthusiastic about the job, and delivered quicker than we expected. Huge thanks! Our new collateral looks fantastic.

Working from our studio in Portsmouth, we were commissioned to create a typographic logo design and record sleeve artwork to represent his music on iTunes. It was a fairly strict brief but Mark was chuffed with the final results.
